On one of my PCs, I downloaded APowerSoft launcher and install it. When I then press START RECORDING I am asked to download it again. This cycle repeats itself. Cannot start online recorder.
Thanks for any ideas.

Please follow the suggestions below to check out this issue.
1. Open “Task Manager” to check whether the Apowersoft Online Launcher has been launched or not.
2. Usually, the launcher will run automatically when it’s installed. Could you please check whether the launcher has been blocked by firewall or other security applications on your computer or not?
Or you can simply download the free desktop version from below URL and use it.

Dear User, please kindly clear the cache of your browser and refresh the page. If you recorder is not the latest version, it will update itself after the refreshing. Then, please check the taks manger on your PC and end the process of this online recorder if it's still running in the background, and then launch the program. Don’t see it running in task manager either.

ReplySame thing here, It worked a few days ago last time i tried to launch it, it said error. I didnt really care so i pressed the “X” button and went on with my life. Today i tried to open it and it just said “download launcher” I pressed download it said “error replacing files” So i deleted my laptop account and made a new one and tried it again, Same issue. So then i deleted it completely (uninstalled it) And tried downloading it again, It downloaded without any error but still would not launch. Please help.

ReplyI am having the exact same problem. I have tried all the steps repeatedly and it alternates between the error code, or if it completes successfully, it does not launch and tells me to download the launcher again.
ReplyI am also having the same issue. I have tried restarting, redownloading, as well as the desktop version. Is the online recorder down for maintenance?
ReplyThe same thing is happening to me, the Apowersoft online screen recorder was working fine two days ago but yesterday it kept asking me to download and install every time I clicked “start recording”, even though I already downloaded and installed it. I tried the task manager thing, uninstalling it and re-installing, restarting my computer, nothing works.

I have the same problem in my MacBook Pro. The launcher doesn't works anymore, Everytime a message saying: Dowload launcher appears and the app for recording is never launched, I have even uninstalled the antivirus, turning off the firewall, reinstalled the launcher and nothing.
Unfortunately, using the desktop version doesn't helps because allows only 3 minutes of recording and the tools bar is very big, the online versions was much better.

In Windows, some applications will take exclusive control of an audio device, as a result, you may find that ApowerREC fails to record normally due to the abnormality of the audio device. Therefore, here provides detailed steps to help you solve the issue by disabling the Exclusive Mode option in Windows Sound Preferences.
1. Open “Control Panel” > “Hardware and Sound” > “Sound” and click on the “Playback” tab. Or you can go to the lower right corner of your computer, click “Sound” and then select the “Playback” tab.
2. Next, you can find the default playback device, right click it and select “Properties”.
3. After that, you can go to “Advanced” –> “Exclusive Mode” and make sure “Allow the application to take exclusive control of this device” is unchecked. If it’s already checked, please disable it and click “OK” to apply the settings.

4. Follow the similar steps above to make sure the Exclusive mode of your default recording device (Microphone or others) is disabled and then restart the computer to make it work normally.
